(Originally written for publication in Squares 'Round the Bay.)

The big news in April was our class finishing up. Twenty-one people graduated, about half of whom had never completed a beginner class before, and about half returning dancers or people who took the class to strengthen their skills. We are now dancing full APD Plus every Sunday 7-9pm. Our next class will start in October.

Also in April, Joe Dehn, Mary Gingell, and Bill van Melle called one Sunday when our club caller John Sybalsky was out of town. In May, Don Benson and Mike Wright were each scheduled to call for us one night.

In late April John called a special Saturday evening C-1 dance for students in the Interlocked Squares class. About a dozen Quads members are taking this class, and several others attended as angels. John also conducted C-3A workshops earlier the same day.

During April, Jim and Sue Davis attended the state convention in Riverside, Terry Edwards attended the Apple Blossom festival in Solvang, and Dolores Ferrero and John Flora attended Amador Adventure in Plymouth.

By the time you read this we should have seen many of you at Golden State Roundup, chaired this year by Quads members John Flora and Dolores Ferrero.

On 5 August we'll be "Dancing at the Fair"! See you there...
