Barbara Geller and Ansel Sermersheim were married in August. Mazel Tov! The square dancing (what's a wedding without square dancing?), which ranged from an intro tip to C-1, was called by our club caller John Sybalsky.

Also in August, Bob Huenemann, Holly Huenemann, Bill Hoover, Dodie Hoover, Jan Hoover, and Ray Olszewski attended the Darryl Lipscomb C-1 week at McCloud Dance Country.

Back in Palo Alto, later in the summer we had Rich Reel and Robert Algea as guest callers two Sundays when John Sybalsky was unavailable. In mid-September Joe Dehn and Bill van Melle wrapped up our Challenge Concepts Workshop, in which over the course of the summer they presented more than two dozen concepts from C-1 through C-4.

We hope that by the time you read this we will have seen you at our Challenging Plus Hoedown! Meanwhile, many of us are spending much of our time working on preparations for the SCVSDA's 52nd Annual Jubilee.

After that we start our new class, with free intro nights 19 and 26 October. Our class welcomes singles, couples, and families. It is suitable for current dancers who want a review of APD or to "learn the other part", as well as for complete beginners. Beginning dancers who are already taking another class but would like to supplement that with an APD perspective are also welcome.
